"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Mark 15:34

There is no road lonelier than the one Jesus walked to Calvary.

When Jesus cried, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" He was bearing the weight of our sin. For a moment that we cannot fully comprehend, the Son of God experienced the separation that our sin deserved so that we could experience the fellowship with God that we never could earn.

Many people today are traveling their own lonesome road. They are hurting, discouraged, lonely, and wondering if anyone cares. You may pass them every day at the truck stop, in the grocery store, at church, or even in your own neighborhood. Behind many smiles are broken hearts that desperately need a touch from the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is why Lonesome Road Ministries continues to do what God has called us to do. Whether through our radio programs, television broadcasts, podcasts, conferences, revivals, chaplain ministry, or personal conversations, our mission remains the same: Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with whosoever, wherever, whenever, and however.

Our recent revival reminded us that God is still changing lives. Souls are still searching. Families are still hurting. Hearts are still being healed. The harvest is still plentiful, and there is still work to do.

As we move into September, let us never lose sight of our purpose. It is not about building a ministry, promoting a personality, or gaining recognition.

It's all about Jesus.

Jesus is still the Answer for the lonely.

Jesus is still the Hope for the hopeless.

Jesus is still the Savior for the lost.

Jesus is still the only way to the Father.
